Diageo’s Latin America and Caribbean team used Ai Palette to assess consumer interest in a guava and lemongrass gin. Ai Palette’s August 2024 case account describes how that research informed Tanqueray Bossa Nova, which launched in Brazil. Ai Palette’s Diageo case

The team examined Brazil, Mexico and Colombia to understand the pairing’s potential in alcoholic drinks, particularly white spirits. Ai Palette combined social and search signals with evidence from e-commerce, bar menus and recipes prepared at home. The analysis considered how much attention each ingredient attracted and the feelings consumers associated with it.

Guava showed moderate engagement, while lemongrass had a smaller but interested audience. Together, the findings gave Diageo evidence to assess a flavor combination built around regional tastes. Tanqueray Bossa Nova subsequently brought the pairing to the Brazilian market.

The case documents a specific decision between an ingredient idea and a product on shelf. Its published outcome is the launch; Ai Palette does not disclose a sales increase or a quantified reduction in development time for this product.
