Open Prem has launched an open-source foundation designed to let applications and AI agents communicate across stacks, interfaces, and environments without routing everything through another central layer.
The model gives each application a standard way to expose governed capabilities while the enterprise keeps one control plane for policy, identity, access, and audit. Data and execution can move peer to peer, but ownership stays with the company operating the network.
Open Prem calls this the nervous system for the application estate. The larger idea is a third option between central middleware and point-to-point sprawl.
